"Началото на пътя"
Miglena was born on February 1, 1989, in the city of Burgas. From a very early age, she showed a strong interest in drawing, which gradually became her natural means of expression. Her education took place at the most creative educational institution in her hometown – St. St. Cyril and Methodius Secondary School, which over the years has established itself as a long-standing incubator for distinguished figures in the fields of culture and art – painters, photographers, writers, and performers. In 2007, Miglena graduated from the school with a major in Fine Arts, laying the foundation for her artistic education.
At the insistence of her family, Miglena temporarily traded canvases and paints for books on economics and ventured into the world of marketing, graduating from Burgas Free University in 2011. Despite this, her creative spirit never fell asleep – it was simply waiting for its moment.
Pause and Awakening
And that moment arrives — unexpected, yet undeniable. Not like a sudden revelation, but as a quiet reminder that art is her natural language. It happens during a cruise journey, when a chance encounter with a foreign gallery reignites her creative spark — that inner impulse of inspiration drawn from art.
A New Beginning and Growth
After several years of pause, she picks up the brush once again – this time with newfound maturity and awareness. Under the guidance of established Burgas artists such as Dobrin Vutev and Foti Fotev, who recognize and encourage her talent, Miglena begins to shape her path as a contemporary creator. This marks the beginning of her conscious life as an artist.
Following her continuous drive to develop more of the potential she holds, she continues her education at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, in Studio 39, under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Kiril Bozhkov. There, in 2023, she completes her Master’s degree in Painting. Today, she lives and creates in the capital, fully dedicated to art.
Creativity and Inspiration
Her works are already part of collectors’ collections both in Bulgaria and far beyond its borders, but for Miglena, the greatest value lies in the ability to provoke thought and dialogue in the viewer. Her art does not seek perfection – it seeks a reaction.
Philosophy
For Miglena, painting is not just a profession – it is a way of existence, a form of silent poetry, and a path to the inner world. Each of her canvases is a reflection of a moment, feeling, or state that is difficult to express in words. Her creativity invites the viewer not just to look, but to feel, to experience, to remember. Because true art is not just seen – it is felt.
